The Benchmark Scientific C2000 PlateFuge™ is the first mini-sized microcentrifuge designed with a swing-out rotor specifically built for microplates. Whether you're prepping 96-well PCR plates, microtiter plates, or 0.2 mL PCR strips, the PlateFuge rapidly concentrates samples into the bottoms of wells — improving reagent concentrations, boosting PCR yields, and eliminating manual plate handling steps.

Patented Swing-Out Rotor — No Tapes or Caps Required The PlateFuge's uniquely designed swing-out rotor holds two plate carriers at a 75° angle at rest. When the lid closes, the rotor accelerates and centrifugal force swings the plates into a fully horizontal position. Droplets on the walls of the wells concentrate into the bottoms in seconds — with no sealing tape or caps needed to prevent spillage.

Fast Spin-Down — Under 20 Seconds With a g-force of 600 xg, most samples can be spun down in less than 20 seconds. Benchmark Scientific To stop, simply open the lid — the automatic electric brake brings the rotor to a smooth halt in just 4 seconds, so plates are immediately ready to remove.

Compact Footprint — Half the Size of Traditional Centrifuges The PlateFuge™ includes a uniquely designed, swing out rotor capable of securing 2 microplates Benchmark Scientific in a footprint of just 9.2" × 10.2" — roughly half the size of a conventional plate centrifuge. It fits comfortably on any crowded bench without sacrificing capacity.

Broad Plate Compatibility Accepts all popular PCR plate formats including skirted, semi-skirted, and non-skirted plates, as well as most microtiter plates up to 25 mm tall. An optional deep-well adapter (C2000-DWMP) accommodates plates up to 35 mm for deep-well applications.

Included Accessories Comes complete with rotor and two plate carriers. An optional tube adapter (C2000-A02) holds 96 × 0.2 mL tubes or 8- and 12-position PCR strips.
