The Hermle Z206-0650 is the 6 × 50mL fixed-angle rotor for the Hermle Z206-A compact centrifuge — the most popular rotor configuration for the Z206-A and the one most commonly paired with the centrifuge for general laboratory and clinical use. Running at up to 6,000 rpm (4,427 xg) at a 40° fixed angle, the Z206-0650 delivers the maximum speed and RCF available for the Z206-A platform and accommodates 50mL conical tubes in all six positions simultaneously. With optional inserts available for 15mL, 5–7mL, and smaller tube formats, the Z206-0650 is the most versatile rotor in the Z206-A accessory lineup. Insert/adapters are sold separately.

6 × 50mL Fixed-Angle Configuration — Maximum Capacity for the Z206-A The Z206-0650 holds six 50mL conical tubes at a fixed 40° angle — the standard configuration for pelleting large volumes of cells, collecting precipitates from 50mL conical reactions, processing blood or biological samples in 50mL format, and general high-speed centrifugation of large-volume samples. At 6,000 rpm / 4,427 xg, the Z206-0650 achieves the maximum speed and RCF supported by the Z206-A centrifuge, providing the full performance envelope of the instrument.

40° Fixed Angle — Efficient Pelleting The 40° fixed angle provides efficient pellet formation with a compact, tightly packed pellet against the tube wall — ideal for applications where complete sample recovery from the pellet is important, such as cell harvesting, bacterial culture pelleting, protein precipitation, and nucleic acid isolation from large volumes.

Acceleration and Deceleration Performance Acceleration: 27 sec. — Deceleration: 43 sec. These are the standard acceleration and deceleration times for the Z206-0650 rotor on the Z206-A centrifuge at maximum speed, providing consistent, predictable run cycles for protocol development and SOP documentation.

Optional Inserts and Adapters — Extend Tube Format Compatibility The Z206-0650 rotor accepts optional inserts and adapters that extend its tube format compatibility well beyond 50mL:

• Z206-50-A15 — Insert for 15mL conical or round-bottom tubes
• Z206-50-A57 — Insert for 5–7mL tubes (12–13mm diameter)
• Z206-50-A5C — Cushion insert for 5mL tubes in the Z206-50-A57 adapter
