The Hermle Z326-02MP is a dedicated 2-place swing-out microplate rotor for Hermle universal centrifuges — designed to centrifuge up to 6 standard microplates (2 carriers × 3 plates each) at a maximum speed of 4,500 rpm (2,716 xg). Compatible with the Hermle Z307, Z326, and Z326-K centrifuges, the Z326-02MP is the essential rotor for labs running microplate-based assays including ELISA, cell-based assays, deepwell plate processing, PCR plate centrifugation, and high-throughput screening workflows. If you need capacity greater than six microplates, consider purchasing a swing-out rotor that can be equipped with up to four microplate carriers. Compatible centrifuge sold separately.

6-Microplate Capacity — 2 Carriers × 3 Plates Each The Z326-02MP holds two microplate carriers, each accepting 3 standard microplates — for a total simultaneous capacity of 6 microplates per run. The swing-out design brings plates to a horizontal position during centrifugation, ensuring even distribution of contents across all wells and preventing well-to-well cross-contamination from splashing during deceleration. This is the preferred rotor geometry for microplate centrifugation in ELISA, cell culture, and assay development workflows.

4,500 rpm / 2,716 xg — Optimized for Microplate Applications At a maximum of 4,500 rpm (2,716 xg), the Z326-02MP operates within the speed range required for the most common microplate centrifugation protocols — including pelleting cells in microwell plates, removing bubbles from microplate wells prior to reading, brief spin-downs after reagent addition, and sealing plate contents before incubation. The swing-out geometry and 90° horizontal plate angle ensure flat, even surfaces for optical reading post-centrifugation.

Also Accepts 0.5mL and 1.5mL Microtubes — With Optional Adapters The Z326-02MP can also be used with 0.5mL and 1.5mL microtubes. Special insert adapters support 20 tubes at a time of each size. This makes the Z326-02MP a dual-purpose rotor — equally useful for microplate centrifugation and high-throughput microtube processing in a single rotor format. Optional adapters:

It accepts 3 chamber slides, a 35mm dish, or a 60mm dish — making it the only accessory available for centrifugation of chamber slides and 35/60mm dishes in a Hermle universal centrifuge.
