Recreate barrier, transport and co-culture conditions in vitro without building a custom setup. CELLTREAT permeable inserts suspend a porous membrane above the well so cells can be grown, polarized and studied from both the apical and basolateral sides.

Inserts are offered with polycarbonate (PC) or PET membranes in 0.1, 0.4, 3.0 and 8.0µm pore sizes, sized for 6, 12 and 24 well formats (24mm, 12mm and 6.5mm membranes). They hang centered in the wells of a tissue culture treated polystyrene carrier plate, leaving room for pipette access to the lower chamber and preventing wicking along the well wall. Every unit is sterile, non-pyrogenic and RNase/DNase free, packed as inserts loaded in plates with two plates per case, and sold by the full case.
