An adjustable flow adapter sits directly on the gel bed, removing dead volume above it and giving sharper peaks. It is recommended for buffer gradients, reverse flow work and high-resolution gravity separations on CHROMAFLEX standard and jacketed columns. It is a key upgrade for demanding work.

Each adapter has a PTFE body, a 20 micron HDPE bed support, a TFE/propylene O-ring seal, a stainless steel adjusting rod and 5 ft of FEP tubing. A blue lock ring comes with all sizes except 1.0 cm. Versions fit 1.0, 2.5 and 4.8 cm columns with 1/16 or 1/8 in. tubing, and the working range is 0 to 50 C.
