A straight-bore condenser is easy to clean, simple to set up and suited to almost any distillation. This Liebig design is a practical workhorse for routine distilling and is referenced in ASTM Method D322. It is an easy, versatile condenser to keep on every chemistry bench.

Made from low-extractable borosilicate glass 3.3, it has a standard taper outer joint at the top and an inner drip joint at the bottom. Coolant flows through the outer jacket around a straight inner tube, and the hose connections accept 3/8 in. ID flexible tubing. Jacket lengths from 100 to 400 mm are offered with 24/40 joints.
