Product Description
Exhaustive extraction of solids is easier and more efficient when the apparatus is designed to avoid trapped liquid and stalled siphons. This Soxhlet extraction apparatus uses an improved design for repeated solvent cycling through your sample, recovering fats, oils and organic analytes from solid matrices.
This listing is for Kimble catalog number 585050-0022: KONTES Soxhlet Extraction Apparatus, 45/50 mm. A protected siphon tube, an enlarged vapor tube and sloping seals keep liquid from being trapped. Standard Taper joints link the condenser to the extractor and the extractor to the 500 mL flask, with a 45/50 top joint and a 24/40 flask joint. Use paper, alundum or 586500 fritted glass thimbles, sold separately. Glass is low-extractable 33 expansion borosilicate. LIGHT LABS supplies the complete DWK Life Sciences line, including Kimble, Wheaton and DURAN labware.
Key Features
