Product Description
Conventional valves can trap liquid in their side arms, but this low hold-up design bends the arms to keep retained volume to a minimum. It is a smart pick for distillation and solvent lines where small losses or carryover matter.
This listing is for Kimble catalog number 826620-0008: HI-VAC Low Hold-Up Valve, with PTFE Plug, without Tip O-Ring, Bore Range 0-8 mm. The borosilicate glass 3.3 body uses PTFE shaft seals that protect the FKM O-rings from contact with the system, a design that also reduces outgassing. The precision thread allows bleed use up to half a turn and full opening at one and a half turns. Bore ranges of 0-4 and 0-8 mm are offered. LIGHT LABS supplies the complete DWK Life Sciences line, including Kimble, Wheaton and DURAN labware.
Key Features
- Bent side arms – Minimize liquid hold-up compared with conventional valves
- Protected O-rings – PTFE shaft seals isolate FKM O-rings from the system
- Reduced outgassing – Seal design supports cleaner vacuum
- Precision thread – Fine control and bleed function
- No tip O-ring – Elastomer stays out of the flow path
