Product Description
Skip the tedious crush-and-soak routine and get gel slices ready for elution in a single five-minute spin. Gel Crusher™ spin columns break excised agarose or acrylamide slices into small, even fragments that can be drawn straight up with a wide-bore tip, helping recover more DNA in less hands-on time.
This listing is for MTC Bio catalog number C6150, the Gel Crusher™ Spin Column / Strainer Basket. Each polypropylene strainer basket has ten 600 µm pores and seats in a standard 2.0 mL receiver tube. Spun at full speed in a benchtop microcentrifuge (about 15,000 x g), the gel is pushed through the pores into the tube below as a fine slurry ready for soaking, filtration or incubation. Matching 2.0 mL capped and capless microtubes are offered in the same family. LIGHT LABS stocks MTC Bio consumables and ships quickly from Englewood, Colorado.
