The CELLTREAT® 229015 is a 10µL low retention filter pipette tip — racked, sterile, and designed for accurate small-volume pipetting in molecular biology, cell culture, and clinical applications. Superior Low Retention — More Sample Delivered, Less Wasted Low retention is the most important performance characteristic of a 10µL pipette tip. At such small volumes, even a thin film of liquid retained on the interior tip surface represents a significant percentage of the dispensed volume — directly affecting accuracy and reproducibility. A perfected balance between raw materials and efficient manufacturing process results in superior low retention. The smooth, hydrophobic polypropylene surface of the 229015 minimizes liquid adhesion, ensuring near-complete sample delivery with each dispense — critical for PCR setup, qPCR master mix preparation, enzyme addition, and any other application where 10µL accuracy is non-negotiable.

Hydrophobic Surface — Accurate Pipetting at Every Volume Pipette tips have smooth, hydrophobic surfaces to ensure accurate pipetting. The hydrophobic inner surface prevents aqueous samples from clinging to the tip wall, reducing sample-to-sample carryover and improving both accuracy and reproducibility. This is particularly important when pipetting viscous reagents, protein solutions, or enzyme mixes where surface adhesion would otherwise cause significant volume losses.

Integrated Filter — Aerosol and Contamination Protection Filters reduce cross contamination and prevent damaging aerosols from penetrating into the pipette, and are positioned to allow extra headspace when pipetting maximum volume. The integrated hydrophobic filter barrier stops liquid aerosols and fine droplets from reaching the pipette barrel during aspiration — protecting the instrument from contamination and preventing cross-contamination between samples. The filter position is optimized to provide maximum headspace at the 10µL fill volume, ensuring the filter is never compromised even when pipetting to maximum capacity.

Molded Volume Reference Markings Molded volume reference markings offer a quick double check opportunity. Reference marks molded directly into the tip body allow a rapid visual confirmation of fill volume without needing to read a separate scale — particularly useful during high-throughput pipetting where speed and accuracy must both be maintained.

Ergonomic Hinged-Lid Rack Design Hinged lids are designed for easy one-handed opening, making it easier to access repeatedly. Lids have a stacking feature for added stability and a secure locking tab. Interior support ribs prevent rack from warping. The one-handed hinged lid keeps tip access fast and efficient without putting down the pipette. The stacking lid feature and secure locking tab keep racks stable and organized on the benchtop.
