Despite its remarkably compact 8.26 x 10.6 inch footprint — one of the smallest in its class — the Z208-A delivers the full performance and versatility demanded by both clinical and research laboratories, accepting tubes from 1.5 mL all the way up to 50 mL via a comprehensive selection of interchangeable rotors.
The Z208-A is engineered with a full suite of proven Hermle safety features including an automatic lid-lock that prevents the centrifuge from being opened while the rotor is still in motion, an imbalance detection system that automatically powers down the motor in the event of improper rotor loading or tube breakage, and robust brushless motor technology for long service life and quiet, vibration-free operation. Configured with up to five optional fixed-angle and swing-out rotors covering 1.5 mL microtubes, 5 mL, 15 mL, and 50 mL conical tubes, the Z208-A is ideally suited for cell culture, urine and blood separations, molecular biology, and general laboratory centrifugation.
