Mediatech® 46-000-CM is a 1L molecular biology grade water tested to meet the chemical and physical properties specified in the USP monograph for sterile purified water. Molecular biology grade water is ideal for the preparation of reagents, rinsing glassware and plasticware, and other molecular biology applications where RNase-, DNase-, and Protease-free water is required. Produced without the use of DEPC or any other toxic processing agents, Mediatech® molecular biology grade water is safe for use in all enzymatic reactions without risk of inhibition or interference. A complete Certificate of Analysis is available for every production lot. Manufactured in an ISO 13485 certified quality facility. Sold as 6 × 1L bottles per case.

USP Sterile Purified Water Specifications — Rigorously Tested Mediatech® molecular biology grade water is tested to the full set of chemical and physical properties found in the USP monograph for sterile purified water — including conductivity, pH, total organic carbon (TOC), bacterial endotoxins, and sterility. RNase-Free, DNase-Free, Protease-Free — Safe for All Molecular Biology Applications Molecular biology grade water is ideal for applications where highly pure, RNase-, DNase-, and protease-free water is required, such as PCR and other molecular biology reaction setup, DNA/RNA/protein extraction, purification, and storage reagents. The absence of nucleases and proteases is critical for RNA work — where even trace RNase activity can degrade RNA samples in minutes — and for sensitive PCR applications where enzyme inhibitors in the water would result in failed amplification.

DEPC-Free — No Enzymatic Inhibition No toxic agents, including DEPC, are used in the preparation of Mediatech's molecular biology grade water, eliminating possible interferences with enzymatic reactions. DEPC (diethyl pyrocarbonate), historically used to inactivate RNases, is itself a potent inhibitor of many enzymatic reactions including PCR, reverse transcription, and ligation — and requires complete removal by autoclaving before use. Mediatech® molecular biology grade water achieves RNase-free status without DEPC, delivering water that is immediately safe for use in all enzymatic reactions directly from the bottle.

Complete Certificate of Analysis — Full Traceability A complete Certificate of Analysis is available for each production lot, along with full formulation information. The CoA documents all quality test results for each production lot, supporting traceability requirements in regulated labs, cGMP environments, and quality-controlled research settings.
