This compact, lightweight aluminum canister is sized for 50 mL Baxter/Fenwal blood bag number 4R-9951. It holds the bag flat and protected during freezing and long-term cryogenic storage of stem cells, cord blood, bone marrow, plasma, and cell therapy products. At just 6 7/16" x 3 9/16", it is the smallest canister in Crystal's Baxter/Fenwal line, so it is a natural fit for small-volume aliquots and high-density freezer storage.
Lightweight aluminum gives the C-4R9951 good thermal transfer for consistent, controlled freezing while keeping the canister easy to handle. A locking handle keeps the canister securely closed around the bag, and a thumb hole makes it easy to grip and open, even with cryogenic gloves. The canister is autoclavable for sterilization between uses. Its slim 7/16" profile holds the bag flat for even freezing and lets you fit more canisters into each frame.
The C-4R9951 is part of a complete Crystal storage system. The F-C-4R9951-8 stainless steel frame holds 8 canisters, and aluminum platform dividers organize frames inside liquid nitrogen storage tanks for maximum storage density.
