The reversible head is the defining innovation of the BV1003 vs. the BV1000. One side features a traditional cupped surface — the preferred orientation for vortexing single conical tubes (15 mL and 50 mL), microcentrifuge tubes, and other standard round-bottomed vessels where the cup concentrates contact against the tube base for maximum vortexing efficiency. Flip the head over and reattach it in the reverse orientation, and the flat dimpled surface is revealed — a surface specifically designed for holding multiple test tubes simultaneously, microtubes, irregularly shaped vessels, and other containers that don't seat well in a conventional cup head. This single reversible head provides two distinct mixing surface options that previously required separate accessory heads — giving the BV1003 built-in versatility that the original BV1000 can only achieve through optional accessories.
