Three Sealing Films for Every Application
The SmartSeal Pro uses roll-fed thermal sealing materials, and three film types are available to match your application:
Easy-Peel Heat Seal (MS2085-200-FEP) — 85 µm foil with a durable barrier and clean, convenient removal. Ideal for reagent storage, deep-well plates, and low-temperature workflows where you want a secure seal that opens cleanly without tearing.
Pierceable Heat Seal (MS2035-200-FP) — 35 µm foil that allows direct pipette tip access without manually removing the seal first. The go-to choice for high-throughput workflows requiring rapid, repeated sample access and routine plate storage.
Clear qPCR Heat Seal (MS2050-200-QPCR) — 50 µm clear polymer film optimized for optical and fluorescence applications. Essential for PCR, qPCR, fluorescence, and colorimetric assays where the seal must remain in place during plate reading.
All three films are 80 mm wide and compatible with polypropylene plates across the SmartSeal Pro's full plate height range.
How It Works — Four Simple Steps
The SmartSeal Pro is designed for ease of use. The entire sealing process takes four operator steps:

- Start Cycle — Initiate the sealing cycle
- Automated Sealing — The system controls temperature, time, and pressure automatically; the film is pulled, sealed, and cut without operator involvement
- Retrieve Plate — Remove the sealed plate when the cycle is complete
