Product Description
The CELLTREAT® 229210B is a 10mL serological pipet individually wrapped in a paper/plastic wrapper and packed in bags — sterile, color-coded orange, and manufactured to the ASTM Standard Specification for Serological Pipets E-934. Bi-directional (positive and negative) graduations are printed in bold, easy-to-read ink, and color-coded stripes and packaging enable quick volume identification at a glance. Each pipet features a premium material barrier plug for aerosol and contamination protection. Manufactured from USP Class VI medical grade virgin polystyrene — RNase-free and DNase-free. Sold in cases of 200, packed in bags of 50.
ASTM E-934 Manufactured — Meets the Standard for Serological Pipets All CELLTREAT serological pipets are manufactured to the ASTM Standard Specification for Serological Pipets E-934 — the defining standard for dimensional accuracy, volumetric performance, and graduation requirements for serological pipets. Compliance with ASTM E-934 ensures consistent, reliable volume delivery that meets the expectations of quality-controlled cell culture labs, molecular biology environments, and regulated research settings requiring documented consumable qualification for GMP or GLP work.
10mL Format — The Workhorse Volume for Cell Culture Media and Reagent Transfer The 10mL serological pipet is one of the highest-use formats in cell culture and biological research — the ideal volume for adding or aspirating media from T-25 and T-75 cell culture flasks, transferring reagents in moderate volumes, preparing dilution series, and performing routine liquid handling tasks that fall between the 5mL and 25mL formats. The 229210B is compatible with all major serological pipet controllers including the CELLTREAT ali-Q series, Corning Stripettor®, Integra VIAFLO, and all other commonly used pipet controllers.
Bi-Directional Graduations — Positive and Negative Volume Delivery The 229210B features bi-directional (positive and negative) graduation markings printed in bold, easy-to-read ink — allowing the pipet to be read from either end of the scale. Positive graduations support standard delivery from full to empty, while negative graduations allow visual confirmation of volume remaining during use. The dual-direction graduation system is standard across all CELLTREAT serological pipets and accommodates all common serological pipetting techniques and controller types.
Premium Material Barrier Plug — Aerosol and Contamination Protection Each 229210B pipet includes a premium material barrier plug positioned to prevent liquid aerosols from being aspirated into the pipet controller during use — protecting the controller from contamination and preventing cross-contamination between samples. The plug material is selected for compatibility with aqueous media, buffers, sera, enzyme solutions, and all other common biological laboratory fluids.
Color-Coded Orange — Instant 10mL Visual Identification The 229210B is color-coded orange throughout — the pipet stripe, the wrapper, and the bag packaging all carry the orange color code universally associated with the 10mL serological pipet format. In active cell culture labs where multiple pipet volumes are in simultaneous use, the orange color coding allows instant visual identification of the correct volume without reading the label — reducing errors and streamlining workflow at the biosafety cabinet.
Individually Wrapped — Sterile Packaging for Single-Use Applications Each pipet is individually wrapped in a paper/plastic wrapper and packed in resealable bags of 50 — maintaining sterility until the moment of use while keeping the remaining pipets in the bag clean, organized, and accessible. The paper/plastic wrapper format is compatible with all standard biosafety cabinet and clean bench workflows and is the most widely used serological pipet packaging format in cell culture labs worldwide.
USP Class VI Polystyrene — RNase-Free and DNase-Free CELLTREAT serological pipets are manufactured from USP Class VI medical grade virgin polystyrene and are certified RNase-free and DNase-free — meeting the material purity standards required for molecular biology, RNA work, and sensitive cell culture applications where nuclease contamination from the pipet material could compromise experimental results. All pipets are supplied sterile by gamma irradiation.
