These premium accelerator-free nitrile exam gloves are made with Hourglass's patented LOW DERMA nitrile formulation. Contact dermatitis is common in labs and clinics where staff glove up all day, and standard nitrile gloves are cured with chemical accelerators (dithiocarbamates, thiurams, and MBT) that are a leading cause of Type IV allergic reactions. FreeStyle gloves contain none of these accelerators and fewer chemicals overall, which greatly reduces the risk of both Type I latex allergy and Type IV chemical allergy, without giving up strength, fit, or protection.
FreeStyle 1104 gloves are highly flexible and conform closely to the hand for excellent dexterity and freedom of movement. Elongation is 650% minimum and tensile strength is 14 MPa. A micro-textured surface and textured fingertips use an anti-slip grip compound that sheds water for a secure hold, even in wet conditions. The extended 9.5" (240 mm) length adds wrist and forearm coverage, and a beaded cuff makes donning easier. The gloves are gradient dipped and low odor.
For protection, FreeStyle gloves are tested for permeation by chemotherapy drugs (ASTM D6978) and fentanyl citrate, and they meet ASTM D6319 for nitrile examination gloves and ASTM F1671 for viral penetration. They are FDA 510(k) cleared and USP 800 compliant for handling hazardous drugs. They are latex-free, powder-free, ambidextrous, and non-sterile.
