This Zymo Research kit recovers DNA and total RNA from the same formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue sample, so you can make the most of limited archival material without splitting it across separate extraction kits.
This listing is for catalog number R1009: Quick-DNA/RNA FFPE MiniPrep, 50 Preps. Tissue is deparaffinized with the included Deparaffinization Solution, digested with Proteinase K and heated to reverse formalin crosslinks, after which DNA and RNA are purified on Zymo-Spin columns. The chemistry is tuned for maximum recovery of DNA as well as large and small RNA. The RNA fraction, including small RNAs of 17 to 200 nt, is DNA-free. Each kit provides 50 preps.
