This dual-material SureFrame™ design solves one of the most persistent challenges in high-throughput 384-well PCR: plate warping and its consequences.
Traditional single-material 384-well plates — including those made entirely from polypropylene — are well documented to warp inside thermal cyclers during PCR cycling. This warping compromises seal integrity, dramatically increasing evaporation rates in the outer wells of the plate and producing inconsistent, unreliable amplification results across the plate. The SureFrame™ polycarbonate frame completely eliminates this warping, ensuring a perfectly flat plate surface throughout the entire thermal cycling protocol — producing uniform amplification results across every one of the 384 wells, including the outer wells most susceptible to evaporation-related artifacts in conventional single-material plates.
The P9384-FSC features 35 µL clear polypropylene wells — optically transparent for fluorescence-based detection in real-time qPCR, digital PCR, and endpoint PCR applications — in a fully skirted format with an A24 cut-corner for foolproof orientation.
