The NX (eXtended) designation means the 77280T measures 58 mm in length — slightly longer than standard 200 µL tips (50 mm) — providing 8 mm of additional reach that improves access to small tubes, microcentrifuge tubes, and PCR strip tubes while maintaining a comfortable pipetting angle. Graduated at 10 µL, 50 µL, and 100 µL for quick volume confirmation during pipetting, the 77280T is ideal for molecular biology, PCR setup, RNA and DNA work, and any precision pipetting application in the 1–200 µL range. The inert hydrophobic barrier prevents aerosols and liquids from entering and contaminating the pipettor — and unlike conventional cellulose or foam barriers that can trap liquid and shed particulates, the Sorenson barrier will not retain liquid or contaminate samples even in the event of over-pipetting.
The low binding surface technology minimizes non-specific adsorption of DNA, RNA, proteins, enzymes, antibodies, and other sticky biological reagents to the polypropylene tip wall — reducing sample loss and improving accuracy when working with limiting or high-value samples.
