The B-100 is the non-sterile counterpart to the BS-25 (sterile, 50/pack) — sharing identical film construction, dimensions, gas permeability, and performance characteristics, but offered without sterile packaging for applications where the plate, media, and workflow are maintained under sterile conditions independently of the sealing film itself.
Constructed from 114 µm (4.5 mil) hydrophobic porous rayon with medical-grade acrylic adhesive, the AeraSeal™ B-100 allows uniform air and CO₂ exchange across all 96 wells simultaneously — a critical advantage over conventional plate lids that provide uneven gas exchange favoring edge wells over center wells. The hydrophobic rayon membrane repels liquids while permitting gas passage, preventing cross-contamination and spillage between wells while maintaining the aerobic or CO₂-enriched atmospheric conditions essential for cell and bacterial growth. Non-perforated end tabs provide a convenient grip during application and are easily removed after sealing. Easily pierceable with standard pipet tips for direct sample recovery. APPLICATION TIPS
- Press firmly around each well rim after application — use of the accessory plate roller is recommended to ensure a secure, uniform seal around all wells
- Non-perforated end tabs serve as a convenient handling grip during application and can be removed after sealing
- For optimal gas exchange uniformity, ensure the film is sealed completely and uniformly to all well rims before incubation
