The Incu-Shaker™ CO2 Mini is specifically designed for the culturing of non-adherent (suspension) cells — the cell types (hybridoma cells, CHO suspension cultures, lymphocytes, and other suspension-adapted cell lines) that require continuous orbital shaking during CO2-controlled incubation to remain in suspension and receive adequate oxygenation and nutrient distribution. Conventional adherent cell culture can be performed in a static CO2 incubator — but suspension cell culture requires continuous orbital agitation that a static incubator cannot provide. The H3501 provides both simultaneously in a closed, CO2-controlled environment, delivering conditions precisely matched to the requirements of suspension cell culture without the contamination risk, CO2 loss, and temperature disruption of placing a separate orbital shaker inside a conventional CO2 incubator.
Three engineering innovations distinguish the H3501 from all other shaking incubators: the dual beam IR CO2 sensor, the six-side heating system, and the beltless motor drive. The dual beam IR CO2 sensor provides the most accurate, stable, and drift-resistant CO2 measurement available in a benchtop shaking CO2 incubator — measuring CO2 at ±0.1% accuracy with 0.1% increments across a 0–20% CO2 range.
