The 19mm horizontal orbit of the Orbi-Shaker™ Jr is the critical specification that defines its performance. The horizontally circular orbital motion provides thorough mixing and aeration simultaneously — critical for bacterial and yeast cultures in Erlenmeyer flasks where dissolved oxygen levels are a key growth variable, and for cell culture applications requiring uniform nutrient distribution. MAGIC CLAMP™ SYSTEM — KEY ADVANTAGE
The patented MAGic Clamp™ system is available as an optional accessory for the Orbi-Shaker™ Jr. The MAGic Clamp platform (H1000-MR, sold separately) replaces the standard rubber mat and uses a magnetic attachment system — individual flask clamps of various sizes (for 25 mL through 2L Erlenmeyer flasks) magnetically snap onto the platform without tools, and are just as easily removed and exchanged for a different clamp size. This eliminates the time-consuming screw-tightening of conventional flask clamps — making flask size changes a one-second operation rather than a multi-minute task.
