The aluminum Peltier block accepts 96 x 0.2 mL tubes or strips, one 96-well non-skirted plate, or 39 x 0.5 mL tubes. That makes the TC 9639 a versatile, cost-effective choice for routine PCR, gradient optimization, cloning, genotyping, and sequencing reaction setup.
The TC 9639 delivers fast, precise thermal performance. The maximum ramp rate is 5°C per second, the temperature range is 0°C to 100°C, and both accuracy and uniformity are ±0.2°C across the block. The built-in gradient function covers 30°C to 105°C with a user-defined spread of 1°C to 30°C, so you can optimize annealing temperatures in a single run. Choose block control or simulated sample control, which tracks the actual temperature inside the tube. A fully adjustable heated lid, settable from 30°C to 112°C, prevents condensation and evaporation, and it shuts off automatically when the block falls below 35°C to protect samples during overnight holds.
The large full-color touchscreen and Program Wizard make protocol setup quick, easy, and foolproof. Ten preinstalled programs give you a fast start, and graphical editing and a full virtual keyboard make custom protocols simple to build. The unit supports time and temperature increments and decrements for touchdown PCR. Program storage is unlimited with a USB flash drive, and you can organize protocols in public, private (password-protected), and flash drive folders, with multi-user login.
