A critical advantage of SealPlate® over conventional microplate lids is its ability to eliminate the "edge effect" — the well-documented phenomenon where the outer wells of a plate sealed with a loose-fitting lid experience significantly faster evaporation than the inner wells due to reduced edge-to-lid contact.
