LIGHT LABS is proud to offer the Crystal Technology & Industries Stainless Steel Vertical Freezer Rack with Spring Clips for Standard 2" Boxes (Cat # CF-12-2-S). This high-capacity vertical rack stores twelve standard 2" freezer boxes in a single column, stacked 12 boxes high, for laboratory chest freezers and liquid nitrogen (LN2) tanks. Integrated spring clips hold each box in place, so boxes stay put when the rack is lifted, tilted, or moved. That cuts the risk of a box sliding out and dropping samples into the freezer or onto the floor.
The CF-12-2-S is the highest-capacity rack in Crystal's 2" spring-clip line. At 26 5/8" tall, it is sized for deeper LN2 tanks and chest freezers with about 27" of interior height. It holds two more boxes than the 10-high CF-10-2-S in the same 5 5/8" x 5 1/2" footprint. Its spring clips give each box built-in retention without loose locking rods to handle while you're wearing cryogenic gloves, which matters even more on a tall, fully loaded 12-high rack. The rack is made of pharmaceutical-grade stainless steel with double-welded joints for strength and long-term durability at ultra-low and cryogenic temperatures. All edges are smoothed for safe handling. Each of the twelve compartments measures 2 3/16" x 5 5/16" x 5 5/16" and accepts standard 2" cryoboxes and freezer boxes in fiberboard, cardboard, or plastic. A built-in handle at the top makes lifting the rack in and out of the freezer quick and easy.
The CF-12-2-S is sold as a rack only. Storage boxes are not included, so you can use your existing 2" boxes. Pre-configured versions with 2" boxes and 81-cell or 100-cell dividers are also available.
