LIGHT LABS is proud to offer the Crystal Technology & Industries Stainless Steel Vertical Freezer Rack with Spring Clips for Standard 2" Boxes (Cat # CF-14-2-S). This extra-tall, high-capacity vertical rack stores fourteen standard 2" freezer boxes in a single column, stacked 14 boxes high, for large liquid nitrogen (LN2) tanks and tall chest freezers. Integrated spring clips hold each box in place, so boxes stay put when the rack is lifted, tilted, or moved. That cuts the risk of a box sliding out and dropping samples into the tank or onto the floor.
The CF-14-2-S is the tallest, highest-capacity rack in Crystal's 2" spring-clip line. At 31 1/16" tall, it holds four more boxes than the 10-high CF-10-2-S in the same 5 5/8" x 5 1/2" footprint. On a rack this tall, built-in box retention matters most. Lifting a fully loaded 14-high rack out of a deep LN2 tank puts the most stress on box retention, and the spring clips hold every box securely without loose locking rods to handle while you're wearing cryogenic gloves. The rack is made of pharmaceutical-grade stainless steel with double-welded joints for strength and long-term durability at cryogenic temperatures. All edges are smoothed for safe handling. Each of the fourteen compartments measures 2 3/16" x 5 5/16" x 5 5/16" and accepts standard 2" cryoboxes and freezer boxes in fiberboard, cardboard, or plastic. A built-in handle at the top makes lifting the rack in and out of the tank quick and easy.
The CF-14-2-S is sold as a rack only. Storage boxes are not included, so you can use your existing 2" boxes. Pre-configured versions with 2" boxes and 81-cell or 100-cell dividers are also available.
