The D4303 includes the BashingBead™ Lysis Rack — a 96-well format rack containing ultra-high-density BashingBead™ glass beads (0.1 & 0.5 mm dual-size) that delivers thorough, unbiased mechanical disruption of all microbes in the sample. The rack format is ideal for use with plate-based bead beaters and automated liquid handling platforms (including Tecan and Hamilton systems) for fully automated high-throughput workflows. Like all ZymoBIOMICS™ DNA kits, the D4303 features Zymo Research's proprietary OneStep PCR Inhibitor Removal technology — simultaneously purifying DNA and eliminating potent environmental PCR inhibitors in a single filtration step — and produces high-molecular-weight DNA (15–20 kb) certified for low bioburden, immediately ready for 16S rRNA gene sequencing, ITS sequencing, shotgun metagenomics, PCR, and arrays.
