The XT (eXTended) design is a critical functional differentiator vs. conventional 1000 µL tips. Standard 1000 µL tips measure approximately 72 mm in length — making them too short to reach the bottom of 50 mL conical tubes, deep 15 mL tubes, and other tall vessels without tilting or submerging the pipettor. At 102 mm in length — 30 mm longer than standard — the Sorenson XT tip reaches the bottom of these vessels effortlessly while maintaining a wide 50–1250 µL volume range and graduation lines at 200 µL, 500 µL, and 1000 µL for quick volume confirmation. The inert hydrophobic barrier prevents aerosols and liquids from entering and contaminating the pipettor — and unlike conventional cellulose or foam barriers that can trap liquid and shed particulates into the sample, the Sorenson barrier will not retain liquid or contaminate samples even in the event of over-pipetting.
The low binding surface technology of the 77310T is engineered to minimize non-specific adsorption of DNA, RNA, proteins, enzymes, antibodies, glycoproteins, and other sticky or precious biological reagents to the polypropylene tip wall — reducing sample loss and improving accuracy and reproducibility when working with limiting or high-value samples. The MultiRack format provides 96 tips per rack in a refillable, stackable rack configuration with 8 racks per pack (768 tips total).
