The LTS (LiteTouch System) design is the key differentiator of the 87960T vs. the standard universal-fit Sorenson barrier tips (77310T, 87290T). Rainin LiteTouch™ pipettors use a unique tip connection interface that requires specifically LTS-compatible tips — standard universal tips will not seat properly on LTS pipettors. The Sorenson LTS-compatible tips are engineered with the precise geometry required to seal effortlessly onto Rainin LiteTouch™ pipettor nozzles, requiring significantly less insertion force than universal tips while providing a secure, leak-free seal.
