The thin, optically clear film lets your instrument read fluorescence through the seal, and the adhesive closes every well tightly to prevent evaporation and cross-contamination during thermal cycling and storage.
Each seal has a notched corner that keeps it from lifting off the corner wells, a common cause of edge-well evaporation and failed reactions. Easy-tear pull tabs and a low-static film make the seals simple to apply, position, and peel, even with gloves on. The seals hold up from -40°C to 120°C, covering everything from cold storage to high-temperature cycling. Every seal is certified RNase/DNase-free, human DNA-free, PCR inhibitor-free, and non-pyrogenic.
