The unique molded divider design creates completely separate compartments while still allowing airflow between them — enabling researchers to study the interactions, inhibitory effects, or comparative growth of two organisms under identical environmental conditions in a single dish, dramatically increasing experimental efficiency and reducing the number of dishes required per study.
Each compartment provides 7–8 mL of working volume and 28.3 cm² of growth area — generous enough for robust culture growth and clear observation of results. The lid features three molded spacers that allow gas exchange while maintaining environmental consistency across both compartments. A ridge on the bottom of the dish allows easy handling and stable stacking.
