The Excel Scientific X-Pierce™ XPS-25 is the sterile version of the X-Pierce™ precut pierceable sealing film — an 89µm vinyl film with a precut "X" over every well that creates four self-resealing flaps for repeated robotic probe and pipette tip access without coring, adhesive fouling, or probe occlusion. Identical in construction and performance to the non-sterile XP-100, the XPS-25 adds sterility for workflows where biological contamination from the sealing film is a concern — including clinical sample processing, viral work, cell-based assays, and any aseptic multi-access workflow requiring sterile plate protection.
