The UFD-432 is a drawer-style upright freezer rack designed for organized storage of standard 2-inch freezer boxes in upright laboratory freezers. Configured at 4 boxes deep by 3 boxes high, the UFD-432 holds a total of 12 freezer boxes per rack, maximizing sample storage capacity in standard upright -20°C and -80°C laboratory freezers.
Unlike traditional slide-in freezer racks, the UFD-432 features individual drawers with handles that allow easy front-access retrieval of any box without disturbing adjacent samples or removing the entire rack from the freezer. This drawer-style design significantly reduces freezer door open time during sample retrieval, helping maintain stable freezer temperatures and protecting sample integrity — a critical advantage in busy labs with high sample turnover.
Constructed from durable corrosion-resistant stainless steel, the UFD-432 withstands repeated thermal cycling between ambient and ultra-low temperatures without warping, rusting, or structural degradation. Compatible with standard 2-inch cardboard, polypropylene, polycarbonate, and metal freezer boxes. A security lock device (DD-06) is available separately for added sample security. Freezer boxes and dividers are sold separately — compatible 81-cell and 100-cell 2-inch freezer boxes are available from LIGHT LABS.
