The 229592 is the without-lid flat bottom counterpart to the 229596 (flat bottom with lid) and the 229597 (flat bottom without lid, individually wrapped) — offering the same reliable non-treated flat bottom performance in an open format suited for use with plate sealers, adhesive sealing films, breathable membranes, or robotic and automated systems that don't require a separate lid.
The non-treated polystyrene surface of the 229592 is chemically inert — making it ideal for colorimetric ELISAs, absorbance-based cell viability assays, compound dilution and storage, bacterial culture, and other applications where protein adsorption to the well surface must be minimized or precisely controlled. Flat bottom wells deliver a uniform optical path across the entire well surface for accurate plate reader measurements. The raised rim on each well allows compatibility with standard plate sealers and adhesive films for evaporation control and contamination prevention when a lid is not used.
Manufactured from crystal-clear polystyrene and sterilized by gamma irradiation, the 229592 is certified nonpyrogenic and RNase-/DNase-free. Alpha-numeric well markings (A–H, 1–12) on every plate enable easy individual well identification. Every case is printed with the lot number for quality traceability.
