LIGHT LABS is proud to offer the CELLTREAT 96-Well Round Bottom Non-Treated Microplate with Lid (Cat # 229590) — a premium, sterile, non-tissue-culture-treated 96-well plate with round bottom wells and an included lid, designed for suspension cell culture, bacterial culture, hybridoma culture, lymphocyte assays, and other applications where cells must remain in suspension rather than adhere to the well surface. The 229590 is the with-lid counterpart to the 229591 (without lid), giving researchers the added benefits of evaporation control and contamination protection during incubation and storage.
Round bottom wells are engineered for efficient mixing and low-volume sample recovery — concentrating cells and particles at the center bottom of each well during centrifugation or settling, making them far superior to flat or V-bottom plates for suspension-based cell culture and mixing applications. The included lid features a raised rim on each well that nests into the rings of the single-direction lid to reduce evaporation and limit cross-contamination risk during incubation. The non-reversible single-direction lid prevents accidental contamination during lid replacement, and the lid stacking ring provides added stability when handling tall stacks of plates.
Manufactured from crystal-clear polystyrene and sterilized by gamma irradiation, the 229590 is certified nonpyrogenic and RNase-/DNase-free. Alpha-numeric well markings (A–H, 1–12) on every plate enable easy identification of individual wells. Every case is printed with the lot number for quality traceability.
