LIGHT LABS is proud to offer the Crystal Technology & Industries Stainless Steel Upright Freezer Rack for Standard 2" Cardboard Boxes (Cat # UF-562). This high-capacity side-access rack holds thirty standard 2" cardboard freezer boxes in a 5-deep x 6-high configuration. It slides onto the shelf of an upright −20°C or −80°C freezer, and boxes are accessed from the front. Upright racks let you pull out one organized rack and reach the box you need, instead of searching through loose boxes stacked on a shelf. That shortens door-open time and helps keep freezer temperatures stable.
The UF-562 fits six boxes high into just 12 5/8" of shelf height by using slightly shorter 2 1/16" compartments sized specifically for 2" cardboard (fiberboard) boxes. Its 27 5/16" depth reaches all the way to the back of extra-deep, large-capacity upright freezers, so it is a high-density choice for labs that standardize on cardboard boxes. Please note: the UF-562 accepts 2" cardboard boxes only and does not fit plastic (polycarbonate or polypropylene) boxes. For plastic boxes, choose the UF-552 (5 deep x 5 high) or another standard-height upright rack.
The UF-562 is made of pharmaceutical-grade stainless steel with double-welded joints for strength and long-term durability at ultra-low temperatures. All edges are smoothed for safe handling. Each compartment measures 5 3/8" deep x 2 1/16" high x 5 7/16" wide. The rack is sold as a rack only. Storage boxes are not included, so you can use your existing 2" cardboard boxes. UPRIGHT vs. VERTICAL RACKS — WHICH DO YOU NEED?
Upright Racks (UF series): For upright freezers with a front-opening door. Racks slide out like a drawer for side/front access, with boxes arranged multiple deep x multiple high. Best for upright −20°C and −80°C freezers.
Vertical Racks (CF series): For chest freezers and LN2 tanks with a top-opening lid. Racks lift straight up, with boxes stacked in a single vertical column. Best for chest freezers and cryogenic tanks.
