The ZR BAC DNA Miniprep Kit is a streamlined, spin-column-based kit for the efficient, rapid isolation of endotoxin-free BAC plasmid DNA and other large plasmids such as PACs from E. coli cultures. Combining a modified alkaline lysis protocol with Zymo Research's innovative Zymo-Spin™ IC-XL large-format spin column technology, the D4049 delivers high-yield, high-purity BAC DNA up to approximately 200 kb without the need for chloroform, phenol extraction, or messy precipitation steps. Zymo Research's signature color-coded reagent system provides easy visual confirmation of complete bacterial cell lysis and neutralization at each step. The Zymo-Spin™ IC-XL column's zero buffer retention design and low-volume elution (≥ 10 µl) yields highly concentrated, endotoxin-free BAC DNA ideal for sequencing, PCR, endonuclease digestion, transfection, transformation, and in vitro transcription.
