At just 11 inches wide, the H1001-M fits on crowded benchtops, inside biosafety cabinets, and in cold rooms where a full-size shaking incubator would be impractical. The "bubble top" expanded dome design maximizes internal capacity — accommodating up to two 1L Erlenmeyer flasks — while keeping the external footprint as small as possible.
Full Color Touch Screen — Intuitive Control of All Parameters Featuring a gorgeous, easy-to-use touchscreen control interface with three separate views — choose from a combined shaker/temperature view, temperature alone, or shaking options alone. The large touch screen gives clear, real-time visibility of all operating parameters and makes adjusting speed, temperature, and run time fast and intuitive — even with gloves on. The integral microprocessor includes a constant monitoring system that verifies and maintains accuracy throughout the duration of every program.
30–300 rpm Orbital Shaking — 19mm Circular Orbit The H1001-M delivers precise orbital shaking from 30 to 300 rpm in 1 rpm increments, with a 19mm (3/4 in.) circular horizontal orbit optimized for aeration and mixing of culture media in Erlenmeyer flasks, culture tubes, and other common vessels. The circular 19mm orbit provides efficient baffled-flask aeration for bacterial and yeast culture growth, and consistent mixing for cell culture, staining, and hybridization applications.
Ambient +5°C to 70°C — Wide Temperature Range with Exceptional Uniformity Temperature range: Ambient +5 to 70°C in 0.1°C increments. Temperature uniformity: ±0.25%. Temperature accuracy: ±0.1%. The wide temperature range covers everything from cold room shaking at 4°C (when used in a cold room environment) through bacterial culture at 37°C to protein expression at elevated temperatures up to 70°C. The ±0.1°C accuracy and ±0.25% uniformity ensure consistent growth conditions across the entire platform surface.
MAGic Clamp™ System — Patented One-Second Flask Clamp Exchange The MAGic Clamp™ system developed by Benchmark Scientific is a first-of-its-kind accessory attachment system that utilizes strong magnets to secure attachments to the platform. It is quick, easy, and secure. Even at max RPM, samples stay put thanks to the strong magnets. The patented magnetic attachment method allows instant swapping between flask clamps of different sizes without any tools — replacing the conventional bolt-and-screw clamp attachment method that requires a screwdriver and significant time between flask size changes. MAGic Clamp™ platforms and clamps are sold separately as optional accessories.
STEP Programming — Consecutive Multi-Phase Protocols The advanced STEP programming feature allows users to create and link consecutive program steps — automatically changing speed, temperature, or both at timed intervals without operator intervention. This enables complex protocols such as bacterial growth with temperature shifts, heat shock treatments, or synchronized time-course experiments to run unattended from start to finish.
Over-Temperature and Over-Speed Protection Sophisticated over-temperature and over-speed controls ensure long life, safety, and sample integrity. The H1001-M continuously monitors both temperature and speed throughout every run, automatically correcting deviations and shutting down safely if parameters exceed acceptable limits — protecting both samples and the instrument.
Non-Slip Rubber Mat Platform Included The H1001-M ships with the standard non-slip, rubber-coated platform — ideal for tissue culture flasks, Petri dishes, staining trays, microplates, and other flat-bottomed vessels. The rubber coating grips vessel bottoms securely even at maximum shaking speed without requiring clamps. For Erlenmeyer flasks and test tubes requiring MAGic Clamp™ clamps, the optional MAGic Clamp™ platform (H1000-MR) is available separately.
