The 229620 offers the same 100mm diameter footprint as the 229690 (100mm x 15mm) but with an extra 5mm of dish depth — providing a taller sidewall that reduces the risk of media splashing during handling and transport, and accommodates slightly larger media volumes in a familiar 100mm dish footprint.
The tissue culture treated surface undergoes a cell culture treatment process that delivers a consistent, uniform hydrophilic surface optimized for improved adherent cell attachment — ensuring maximum cell spreading and reproducible culture performance across the 60.5 cm² growth area. The 229620's heavy-duty thick-wall polystyrene construction resists warping during extended incubation periods and repeated media changes. The pronounced grip ring molded around the circumference of the base provides secure, comfortable one-hand handling in the biosafety cabinet — especially valuable when working with gloves while managing multiple culture dishes simultaneously.
