The 229506 is the 6-well format of CELLTREAT's Non-Treated Multiple Well Plate line — available in configurations from 1-well to 384-well for every scale of cell culture and assay need.
The non-treated polystyrene surface of the 229506 is specifically designed for cell types that require passive or no attachment to the well surface — including suspension cell lines, bacterial and yeast cultures, embryoid body formation, and other applications where surface-induced cell adhesion is undesirable. The large 9.60 cm² cell growth surface area per well and 2–8 mL media working volume per well make the 229506 well suited for expansion of suspension cultures, large-volume assays, and applications requiring larger working volumes than standard 12- or 24-well formats.
Each well features a raised rim that nests into the rings of the single-direction lid to reduce evaporation and limit cross-contamination risk during incubation. The lid features a stacking ring for added stability when handling tall stacks of plates in the incubator or on the bench. Manufactured from crystal-clear polystyrene and sterilized by gamma irradiation, the 229506 is certified nonpyrogenic and RNase-/DNase-free.
