LIGHT LABS is proud to offer the CELLTREAT 12-Well Flat Bottom Non-Treated Cell Culture Plate with Lid (Cat # 229512) — a premium, sterile, non-tissue-culture-treated 12-well flat bottom plate with included lid, ideal for suspension cell culture, bacterial and yeast culture, scaffold and biomaterial testing, and other applications where a non-treated surface chemistry with a medium-to-large well format is required. The 229512 occupies the ideal footprint between the 6-well (229506) and 24-well (229524) formats — providing 3.85 cm² of cell growth surface area per well and a generous 2–4 mL working volume per well for applications requiring more volume than a 24-well plate but greater density than a 6-well format.
The non-treated polystyrene surface is designed for cell types requiring passive or no attachment to the well surface, and for applications where protein adsorption to the well surface must be minimized or precisely controlled. The flat bottom well design allows for easy visual inspection of culture contents under a microscope or with the naked eye. The included lid features a raised rim on each well that nests into the rings of the single-direction lid to reduce evaporation and limit cross-contamination risk during incubation. The lid also features a stacking ring for added stability when handling tall stacks of plates.
Manufactured from crystal-clear polystyrene and sterilized by gamma irradiation, the 229512 is certified nonpyrogenic and RNase-/DNase-free. Alpha-numeric well markings for easy identification of individual wells. Every case is printed with the lot number for quality traceability.
