The 229548 provides 0.84 cm² of cell growth surface area per well and a 0.4–1.0 mL working volume per well — making it ideal for suspension cell culture, bacterial culture, small-scale screening assays, and other applications where non-treated wells with a medium-density format are preferred.
The non-treated polystyrene surface of the 229548 is designed for cell types requiring passive or no attachment to the well surface, and for applications where protein adsorption to the well surface must be minimized or controlled. The flat bottom well design allows for easy visual inspection of culture contents and consistent optical path length for absorbance or colorimetric plate reader measurements. The included lid features a raised rim on each well that nests into the rings of the single-direction lid to reduce evaporation and limit cross-contamination risk during incubation. The stacking ring on the lid provides added stability when handling tall stacks of plates in the incubator or on the bench.
Manufactured from crystal-clear polystyrene and sterilized by gamma irradiation, the 229548 is certified nonpyrogenic and RNase-/DNase-free. Alpha-numeric well markings for easy identification of individual wells. Every case is printed with the lot number for quality traceability.
